  1. Guidelines For Playing Events
  2. The Association schedules its events between June and September.
  3. Your participation is at your option.
  4. Prior to each event, you will receive an entry blank, which must be returned.
  5. You can enter as a single, a two-some, three-some or four-some, subject to the specific event format. The pairings will be confirmed to mail - through Pairing Sheet.
  6. Participation in any oversubscribed event will be determined by lottery from reservations timely submitted, except that priority will be given as follows:
    1. 1. All new members and their playing partners will be exempt from the lottery for the first event to which they subscribe.
    2. 2. Any member who was bumped twice in a given year will be given exemption in the first four events in the following year. (This situation is expected to occur rarely.)
    3. 3. When a member is bumped once in a given year, he and his playing partners will be exempt thereafter – provided an event does not have total exemptions which exceed the desired size of the field.
    4. 4. When the situation described in point 3 occurs, only those members (and their partners) who were bumped in either of the 2 preceding lotteries will be granted exemption. All players who were bumped in lotteries earlier than the 2 preceding lotteries will go into the current lottery. (Under this approach it will be possible for an individual to be bumped twice)
    5. 5. Lottery management (the Executive Director, Treasurer and President) will have discretion to make exceptions when unusual (rare) circumstances exist.
    6. It is important that our members understand that these procedures apply to all our members, including Officers and Directors.
  7. Your entry fee includes locker space, brunch/lunch, golf cart, 18 holes of golf, dinner, prizes and gratuities.
  8. Dress code for dinner is casual, jacket appreciated. Dinner served at approximately 5 p.m.
  9. No extra holes played without approval from the pro shop.
  10. Play is restricted to SGAW members.
  11. The Board of Directors may alter these guidelines when it considers such action appropriate to do so to enhance play.
