The purpose of the Association shall be to promote the playing of golf in the State of Wisconsin, to encourage good fellowship and friendly competition in golf among its members, and to hold such events as are deemed to be in the best interest of the membership of the Association.
From it's membership dues revenues, the Association also
makes financial contributions to various golf
charities that support programs for young
people. These currently include the Evans
Scholars program, the Wisconsin State Golf
Association Foundation, which is a major
supporter of high school golf, and the
Lou Warobick's Junior Golf Foundation,
which grants college scholarships to
graduating high school girls and boys.
